Sudel Industries was formed in 1991. In the early days, the majority of the work performed by Sudel Industries was for Onesteel (formerly BHP) Whyalla. The range of work included the programming of Toshiba equipment, drafting, scope development and cost estimating. With core business continually growing and with Sudel Industries moving into construction and maintenance additional labour was hired to cope with the increased work load.

In 1996 Sudel Industries decided to expand the customer base within Onesteel Whyalla, and to stabilise the work load to limit the effects of the peaks and troughs that were experienced throughout the year.This has been achieved by good management of jobs and labour, by the winning of instrumentation contracts within Onesteel Whyalla, and by continually increasing Sales within Onesteel Whyalla.

Sudel Industries is continuing to expand by tendering work not only within the state of South Australia but also Australia wide.

In Late 1999, an office was established in Adelaide to expand operations and offer calibration and repair services to small and medium sized Adelaide Based companies. Within 1 year, the Adelaide office was able to secure many small to medium and large customers, in and around the Metropolitan area. The Adelaide Branch maintains its ability to look after the small to medium sized customer, while able to perform calibration maintenance and repairs for many high profile companies. All customers are managed by establishing good working relationships, listening to the customers needs, and meeting their Quality control requirements.
